International Webinar Concludes Independence Fortnight With Call to Transform Positive Media Campaign Into Grassroots Youth Movement
NEW DELHI. A 15-day international fortnight commemorating Independence Day organized by Uday Kumar Manna Founder of the RJS Positive Broadcasting House concluded with participants and media leaders pledging to transition their constructive communication drive into a structured six-month outreach campaign targeting educational institutions ahead of Republic Day. Team Independence Day Dr. Munni Kumari of Patna welcomed the guests and participants. She  committed to conducting seminars on education, justice, and historical contributors in the coming days. She was honoured with Certificate of appreciation for his contribution along with 25th Co-hosts and media persons.

The virtual closing session brought together media practitioners, educationists, and community representatives from India and abroad to discuss the theme of placing national priorities at the forefront while fostering universal fellowship. The organizers announced plans to conduct workshops, school visits, and media roundtables over the coming months to engage younger generations in constructive civic discourse.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, founder of Noida Film City and patron of Positive Media, emphasized the growing global footprint of Indian cinema, television, and digital communications. Pointing to the rapid expansion of domestic broadcast channels, publications, and digital connectivity, Dr. Marwah called on media professionals to focus on credibility, thorough research, and solution-driven narratives. He also announced that Marwah Studios will host a specialized training workshop for working journalists and media family contributors to upgrade their technical competencies and understand emerging digital tools.

Detailing his perspective on national self-reliance, Dr. Marwah presented an analytical framework for personal and professional growth, stressing ambition, technological fluency, self-motivation, ethical conduct, patriotic commitment, verified information, rigorous research, mutual trust, humanitarian values, multifaceted skills, and result-oriented action.
Nitin Mehta, honorary in-charge of the RJS Positive Branch in London and founder of the Indian Vegetarian Society, highlighted the role of the overseas Indian diaspora in preserving cultural heritage and countering inaccurate representations of India in international publications. He noted that community members abroad actively engage with foreign media editors to provide verified perspectives while sharing Indian philosophical traditions such as yoga and vegetarianism. Mehta emphasized that basic values and discipline must be nurtured within families before being reinforced in schools.

Dr. A. K. Merchant, general secretary of the Temple of Understanding India Foundation, who presided over the session, underlined the importance of integrating national commitment with global citizenship as articulated in the philosophy of universal brotherhood. Citing educational and corporate social responsibility data, Dr. Merchant noted that significant corporate investments are being directed toward strengthening government school infrastructure. He also referenced government initiatives in skill development across industrial training institutes and announced that his foundation has entered into a collaboration with Manav Rachna University to engage undergraduate students in constructive social initiatives.

Gulshan Saifi, editor of News Folder, addressed the role of journalism in strengthening social cohesion. He urged media professionals and citizens to approach national symbols and patriotic songs with universal respect, cautioning against political disputes that distract from national unity. Saifi emphasized that constructive reporting must bridge social divides and present balanced, verifiable facts to retain public credibility.

Outlining the organization's forthcoming roadmap, RJS founder and national convener Uday Kumar Manna said the initiative is shifting its focus toward direct engagement with students and teachers through school visits and institutional forums. He noted that the initiative will launch a preparatory framework titled Team Republic Day to recognize contributors working across education, environmental protection, and public health. Manna also announced that a national media conference will be organized at the Indian Red Cross Society premises in New Delhi on September 30, on the eve of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day.

Earlier during the session, national media coordinator Deep Mathur announced digital certificates of appreciation for participating branches and collaborating organizations, including RJS Yuva Patna, RJS Positive Branch Noida, RJS Positive Branch London, Inspiring Indian Women, Daily Diary News,and Delhi Metropolitan Education Noida.

The session also featured tributes to India's freedom fighters, including young revolutionaries such as Baji Rout, Khudiram Bose, Kartar Singh Sarabha, Anant Laxman Kanhere, and Prafulla Chaki, alongside historical figures such as Rani Lakshmibai and Jhalkari Bai. Speakers also commemorated the death anniversaries of spiritual leader Ramakrishna Paramhansa, poet Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Several participants registered specific civic pledges for the upcoming six months.  Uday Shankar Singh Kushwaha of the Noida branch announced environment-focused activities and youth discussions scheduled for late August. Environmental activist Kavita Parihar from Nagpur pledged six months of dedicated ecological campaigns, while Niti Arora took on youth digital awareness and voluntary blood donation promotion in coordination with the Red Cross. Former educator Sarita Kapoor highlighted the need for value-based education in schools, Sweety Paul proposed expanding thematic community engagement, and Laxman Prasad, director of Prabhat Food Products, pledged support for community-centered historical documentation.

The meeting concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Munni Kumari, affirming the organization's commitment to expanding constructive journalism and community-level social action across India and overseas chapters.
