Essay Competition for students in
Lagos, Nigeria. The title for the essay was: Benefits of a Vegetarian Diet.
Vaid Bharath, our lifelong member, has carefully gone through all the essays submitted by the students. Essays are marked in five categories: Relevance, Structure,Originality and Evidence, Arguments For.
Each category was assigned twenty marks, totalling a possible 100 marks

25 June 2026 Essay Marking Table
Essays are marked in five categories:
Two Age Groups, 11-14 and 15-18 took part. Prizes for each group were as followd:
Ist Prize: 50,000 Naira
2nd Prize: 30,000 Naira
3rd Prize : 20,000 Naira
All other participants were given a prize of 10,000 Nira.
The prizes were given away by Mr. Kizito a Vegan activist.
A special thanks to Lagos based Chiemeka Chiedozie for organising the whole project.

The prizes were given at the Distinct Comprehensive School. The fifth picture is of Mrs Bole wife of the headmaster of the school.
