 Jain Ashram at Birmingham celebrating its 50th year. 

Nitin Mehta is With president of the Ashram Dr. Kamini Jain and Harish Jain.

 Birmingham.. Nitin Mehta was with Harishji in the years after  the Ashram property was bought in 1976. Both of us were dear to Jain Muni Sushil Kumar Maharaj. Today the Ashram is home to hundreds of Jains who have come from India in the last 25 years. Jains from Coventry, Dudley, Manchester, London were present.

Nitin Mehta addressed,  the gathering " we should promote   vegetarianism and veganism. Never eat meat, fish, eggs, figs and honey. We should not buy leather shoes, sofas and other leather goods. I  consider those who do not eat meat, fish and eggs as Jains!. So the number of Jains in UK is not 45 thousand but 10 million! We must be  proactive in our Ahimsa. We must fight against any cruelty to animals. We must join hands with other animal rights groups. We must thimk big."
